Minature Train Rides Nambour
Sunshine Coast Railway Modellers Society operates Miniature Train Rides every fourth Sunday of the month (except December) from 10am till 3pm (last tickets 2.30pm) at the Model Railway Park at 1 Florence St, Nambour.

The next event will be held on Sunday the 28th of August.
The next event will be held on Sunday the 25th of September.

Ride donations are $3 per ride or 4 rides for $10 per person. Children under 4 years, with a fare-paying adult travel for free.
EFTPOS facilities available. Enclosed footwear must be worn. No thongs, open-toe shoes or bare feet are permitted for safety reasons.

Oriana Sunshine Coast Choir Concert
The Sunshine Coast’s Oriana Choir presents Faure’s Requiem and Haydn’s Nelson Mass at Stella Maris Catholic Primary School, Maroochydore on Sunday July 17th at 2:00pm. Originally called the “Mass for Troubled Times”. Haydn’s mighty choral work the Nelson Mass has been called the composer’s greatest single composition. It is a work that was written at a time of intense fear for the future of Austria, whose citizens were not in the best of spirits.
The choir will be conducted by Kim Kirkman, accompanied by Sinfonia of St Andrew’s and four incredible soloists, Soprano – Elisabeth Wallis Gaedtke, Alto – Anne Fulton, Tenor – Tobias Merz and Bass – Jason Barry-Smith.

‘FUN’draiser Trivia Night Buderim
Everyone loves a Trivia Night! The Sunshine Coast Dementia Alliance invite you to come along to the Buderim Bowls Club, in Elizabeth Street on Friday the 22nd of July from 5.30pm for a fun Trivia Night! Tease your brain, have some fun and help raise funds for the Sunshine Coast Dementia Alliance Community group & win some prizes! Tickets are $15 each, book your team of 6-8 or come along join a team on the night. The scrumptious new menu will be available as well, for those wishing to grab a bite on the night!
A variety of prizes will be available on the night. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 22nd July for what is set to be an evening filled with laughs, friendship and fun facts (some easy, interesting and some a little harder) to spark our grey matter!

Concert of Classical and Movie Favourites
The Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra and the Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra will join forces to bring a powerful concert of classical and film music favourites to Venue 114 in Bokarina on Sunday the 24th of July starting at 2pm. Combining the two growing orchestras has created the largest orchestra to ever play on the Sunshine Coast.
Conducted by Adrian King and Chelsea Eunson, the concert features a piece by the musically talented 12-year old Kyan Pennell, a hinterland resident who tragically passed away recently. The unfinished piece was discovered after Kyan’s passing, and the piece has been arranged and extended by Sunshine Coast composer, Clifford Bradley. This will be the debut performance of this arrangement.

A Swiss Afternoon Tea & Talk
Want to broaden your European knowledge without even leaving home? Swiss National Day is August 1st and to celebrate, you are invited to an afternoon tea and talk all about this amazing little nation to be held at Pomona Community Hall, on Sunday the 31st July starting at 2pm. Tickets are $10 and go to support Naradell, a local mental health charity based on the Sunshine Coast.
Switzerland is a land-locked, politically neutral nation surrounded by no less than five countries, with four national languages. Smaller in size than the State of Tasmania, Switzerland has a population sixteen times that of the Apple Isle. It’s also famous for its mesmerizing alpine scenery, luxury watches, delicious chocolate. holey cheese, pocket knives, the Swiss Guard who protect the Pope & the Vatican, the Red Cross and Roger Federer. These are just some of the amazing things you can learn about this intriguing little country at a live presentation with accompanied commentary by local Swiss/Australian Sunshine Coast Resident Jean-Claude Boulenaz.
