BreastScreen Qld Mobile Service Bribie Island
The BreastScreen Queensland mobile service will be on Bribie Island from Monday the 30th of January through until Friday the 24th of February 2023 between 7.30 and 2.45pm. The service will be located in the car park of Bribie Island Library at 1st Ave & Welsby Parade Bongaree, providing FREE breast cancer screening for women 40 years and over. Grief and Loss Program Buderim
Have you experienced the loss of a loved one? The Blue Care Grief and Loss Program provides assistance in dealing with grief at times of loss. The next free program commences on Monday, the 13th of February at 10.30am at Connections on King at Buderim Uniting Church on the corner of Gloucester Rd and King St. Each weekly session is for 2 hours over the next 8 weeks.

DivorceCare Support Group Sessions
Divorce is one of the most painful experiences you can face. So many emotions. So many challenges. You don’t have to go through it alone. DivorceCare offers support, answers, and practical tools to help you manage the many stresses of separation and divorce and find healing. DivorceCare is a 13-week support group that helps you heal from the pain of separation or divorce and will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7pm till 9pm at the Anglican Church 174-176 Currie Street nambour beginning on the 15th of February. The experience involves three main components designed to help in that healing including a video seminar, focused support group and a participant guide. Dementia choir. ‘Sunshine Singers’
Attention: Music lovers – those with dementia and their carers.
Come along and experience the many benefits of singing together by joining our newly-formed choir- the ‘sunshine singers’.
Rehearsals followed by morning tea will be held fortnightly, during the school term.
Commencing on Friday, 17th February 2023 from 10am – 11:30am. At St. Andrew’s Anglican Church.

February Vitality Cafe
Sunshine Coast Dementia Alliance invites you to their first get-together for 2023! The Monthly Vitality Cafe morning teas are for Carers and People living with Dementia (PLWD) and the first one for the year will be held on Wednesday the 22nd of February at the Buderim Bowls Club in Elizabeth Street, Buderim starting at 10.30am. Take a few hours out for some fellowship, networking, and a general chat and sharing of important information and hear about their exciting upcoming events. The SCDA President and ‘Become a Dementia Friend Host’, Nicola, will be available for anyone that would like to become an official ‘Dementia Friend’. Please register for catering purposes (a light morning tea, tea & coffee is provided). This is a FREE event, but a gold coin donation is appreciated to help cover catering costs.

BreastScreen Queensland is providing free breast cancer screening at the Kenilworth Showgrounds from Tuesday the 28th of February to Thursday the 2nd of March 2023. This service is free to women aged 40 and over. Appointments take less than 30 minutes and you don’t need a doctor’s referral. Call 13 20 50 or visit the BreastScreen website to make an appointment. Early detection could save your life!

BreastScreen Queensland Sunshine Coast also has permanent sites at Nambour Hospital, Maroochydore, Caloundra, Caboolture, Noosa and Gympie.
