He has signed up to volunteer with Bridges for Peace, an organisation with a heart to “show the Jewish people that there are Christians around the world who care for them unconditionally and to overcome what has at times been a dark history between Christians and Jews.”
Having grown up on a farm in south-east Queensland, Jordan became a Civil engineer. In his own words, he was “living a good life; had a great job, yet I didn’t feel satisfied.”
Having grown up in QLD, Jordan now serves with Bridges for Peace in Israel.
“I felt after some time the Lord call me to step out in faith to go somewhere overseas and then one day the door opened for me to go to Israel.”
One of Jordan’s friends who was connected with Bridges for Peace in Israel suggested doing their young adults tour. Instead, Jordan applied for Bridges’ 11 month young-adults discipleship program.
“I told God that if I got accepted to the program that I would go,” Jordan said.
“And so here I am now having served almost 12 months in Israel and feeling called to return and continue the work there.
“In Israel I work in a team that carries out home repairs for people in the Israeli community that don’t have the means.
“I told God that if I got accepted to the program that I would go,” Jordan said.
“I also spend a couple days a week as a delivery driver, delivering and distributing food packages to a small portion of the 24,000 Israeli’s in need across Israel that Bridges’ helps feed every month.”
