Birkenstocks are all the rage.
Wait, but how? When I wore Birkenstocks 20 years ago, they were super daggy. Especially if I wore them with socks and cargo shorts.
It’s as simple as that. What makes something fashionable isn’t the thing itself, but who wears them.
Sadly that means that no matter what I wear, I will be out of fashion. The problem isn’t what I wear. The problem is me.
Society will never see me as fashionable.
But the bible says that we are “treasured” by Jesus. He sees us as fashionable. Jesus wants to be seen with us.
But more than this, Jesus fashions us to make us fashionable.
So go out and rock the cargo shorts, socks, and sandals. Not even Margot Robbie can make that look cool. But you’ll always look fabulous in the eyes of Jesus.
