On the weekend, the team walked 50,000 steps, raising money for the important work of Destiny Rescue.

“We’re at Coolum Beach Fire Station,” Peter said when he caught up with Salt 106.5’s Steve D before the walk.

“We’ve set up a team… we have recruited a lot of people to help!

“We’ve told them it isn’t obligatory, but it is expected!” he said with a chuckle.

On the weekend, the team walked 50,000 steps, raising money for the important work of Destiny Rescue.

“Myself and my wife have been big supporters for Destiny Rescue for quite some time and we’re really amazed at the incredible work that they do, but they do need a lot of help,” Peter said.

Tread on Trafficking is an Australia-wide Destiny Rescue initiative.

“We’re going to raise money towards the rescue of children and freeing kids who are under exploitation at the moment and human trafficking,” Peter said.

“We know that the cost to rescue one child is about $1800 so if we can even make $1800 we’ve seriously effected, positively effected the life of one child.
